My Second P!NK Demo

10-08-01

This didn't take long at all to map out, and lay down

John Donovan - drums

Get This Party Started

It's fun to sing along with!

Get This Party Started; Just Drums

I'd love to play with a band that takes things are serious as I do, and still have fun with it :)

My P!NK Demo

4-12-01

I'm surprized how good this turned out, considering it's just me and the CD!

John Donovan - drums

There You Go

I love the groove on this one, I really do.

Most Girls

Check out how cool I made the intro!

You Make Me Sick

I can't help but love that most of the crashs are on beat 2 :).

Mr. Rad and the High Speed Racers

Fall of 1999

Janos Smogi - Bass and vocals

Joe Nagel - guitar

John Donovan - drums

Tech

This one has a nice musical, note filled drum solo in the middle, my personal favorite.

Hand Jive

A happy swinging Jelly Bean song with amusing lyrics and great drum lick at the end.

Like That

Starts soft, but smack!!! a powerfull double bass groove, then soft again.

Commit

AHHH! I Love the swing shuffle when it changes into the louder "Smash and Trash" rodeo rock supporting the dissonence in the guitar. I love it Yeeehawww!!.

Drum Set Solo

A bonus audio sample for your entertainment! This 5 minute solo from the 1999 Pocono Music Expo is a great example of my artistic ability on drum set. My solo speaks for itself, so enjoy!

The following MP3 files are from my latest marching percussion arrangement. PLEASE NOTE: I did not have the budget to clean up every tick! Considering I did this recording by myself in 4 hours, I am still surprized on how nice it sounds. How many marching percussion specialists record their arrangements in a studio? Click here to see my studio pics from this session. Thank you for waiting during the 3 minute down-loading process for each track.

Track 1

Lots of unison hits filled with space followed by set-ups for the full marching ensemble.

Track 2

Starts with the big rhythmic motive that occurs multiple times in the entire piece. Next is a sweet 5/4 groove.

Track 3

Completion of the 5/4 groove with the bass feature. Next,is a strong 6/4 groove containing the exposed snare and multi-tenor features.

Track 4

AHHH! The first big climax. The parts become more complex from a verticle standpoint.

Track 5

The majestic section that brings the general effect to an understanding.

Track 6

Time to get cooking again! The dynamic layering along with the syncopation make this section fit nicely into the ending.

Track 7

Yes! My favorite section is the ending consisting of the drumline feature followed by a familar ending to all!
